What you will be doing at 10X

As the Core Banking Product Manager your product will power the very heart of our platform and underpins any and every product a client will build using our platform. You will work with your product team and your engineering counterparts to build and improve 10x’s core banking capabilities, solve real customer problems and meet market needs.

Your responsibilities will look something like:

  • Taking input from the 10x product vision, client feedback and your market knowledge you will work with your Product Director to define and prioritise your product roadmap
  • You will own the product features on your roadmap from ideation through to delivery and run, ensuring great product outcomes and guiding your team of product owners.
  • You will work closely with your engineering counterpart to ensure realistic plans and timely delivery of your features.
  • You will work closely with your team of Product Owners, your engineering counterparts and other Product Managers across the business to ensure successful delivery of your product roadmap.
  • You will line manage a team of Product Owners across the 10x Interest, Fees and Ledgers teams.
  • You will spend time with clients in post-sales discussions to deeply understand their propositions and how the 10x platform can meet their needs.
  • You will define key metrics for your product and measure the product against those metrics as it is used by 10x’s customers. You will feed this into your future product roadmap to ensure continuous improvement and learning.
  • You will continuously assess ways of working and make improvements where needed to ensure your team are as efficient, productive and delivering quality as possible across the SDLC.
  • You will take responsibility for brilliant articulation of what your product does through high quality internal demos, external demos and our 10x documentation.
  • You will be an SME for your product to internal stakeholders, clients or potential clients

Requirements

About you

An in-depth knowledge and experience in product ownership or management is must.

We're looking for candidates that have a proven record developing propositions within financial services or fintech. The successful candidate will be self-directed, outcome focused and have good communication and influencing skills.

Ideally you will have...

  • Strong product management or ownership skills developed in a bank or a digital organisation
  • A keen eye for detail and desire to get stuck into the weeds. You will be managing and building some of the most intricate parts of our platform so this is a must.
  • Experience working with scrum or Agile methodologies
  • Experience in a b2b business where you had regular interactions with clients is ideal but not a must.
  • Experience working at customer level to understand underlying needs
  • Experience defining, prioritising and delivering a product roadmap
  • Ability to manage competing demands, challenging conversations, resolve conflicts and effectively mediate disputes
  • Ability to effectively influence and manage a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders across all levels of seniority, including Exco
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working with APIs and microservices architecture is ideal but not a must. If you don’t have this you must have strong desire to learn.
  • Experience and understanding of financial products and financial services including knowledge of double entry accounting.
