The Role
We are currently seeking a Product Management Intern (Trading) to join our Product Team!
Our team is responsible for the development of our portfolio trading and rebalancing software, and improving workflows and UX/UI of the analysis tool. We drive the evolution of product offerings powered by the Addepar platform with a hard-working team of experienced product managers, while partnering closely with leaders across R&D and business to achieve our company objectives.
The ideal candidate is detailed and thrives in a fast-paced environment. It's imperative you have a solid understanding of general finance terms, investments and trading. You have outstanding communication and collaboration skills and are able to work with a diverse group, get consensus, and drive the product forward. You are execution focused and emphasize getting things done while paying attention to important details. You are passionate about using technology to tack problems in a user-centric way. You have a passion for the FinTech industry and want to tackle the problems of tax-efficient trading, back-office efficiency, investment analysis, product design, and enterprise enablement.
What You’ll Do
- Define product requirements, priorities, and turning points for new features/improvements in collaboration with cross-functional teammates in design, engineering, and other departments
- Develop understanding for our users’ needs, trading workflows, and finding solutions to their problems
- Gather feedback and requirements from customers and partners and translate them into data-driven product recommendations
- Support the team's day-to-day operations, including helping with agile ceremonies, writing product requirements for the engineering team, and bug triage
Who You Are
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary educational institution (university must be located in the US & Canada) & returning to school after internship
- Available to intern for the full 12 weeks
- Excellent presentation, communication (listening, written, spoken), and influencing skills
- A low ego and a high level of organization, accountability, and integrity
- A servant leader mentality passionate about facilitation, appreciation, and consensus-building
- A desire to “roll up your sleeves” and dive deeply into our users’ most sophisticated problems, even when faced with ambiguity and limited direction or support
- Knowledge and experience with technical and/or product domains
- Finance & trading knowledge (personal projects are a plus)
- Engineering/ CS background is a plus, but not required
