Product Management - App Engagement

Extra is a consumer finance company on a mission to reinvent everyday banking tools for the next generation. Extra's first product, Extra Debit, is the first debit card that lets you build credit history and earn rewards back everywhere you swipe.

Today, there are over 100 million Americans who dont want, or cant get a credit card. Yet there are very few alternatives for establishing your credit other than with a risky Credit Card. Our mission is to make credit building safer, smarter and more accessible for everyone.

What you will do:

• Lead a cross-functional team in maximizing the duration, intensity, and value of our app engagement
• Set, teach, and enforce a highly rigorous culture of data-informed decision making and intellectual honesty
• Leverage a variety of tools to improve our results, ranging from direct comms, in-app events, e-commerce store refreshes, and content releases
• Teach others how to see the world through your lenses
• Work with a bevy of creative professionals to reinvent what a fintech app experience can look like
• Work closely with our engineering team to make sure your big ideas actually ship
• Drive crucial decisions in the company roadmap and areas of focus

Requirements:

• 5+ years of product management experience in consumer mobile applications
• Including the management of cadence/refreshes alongside new feature development
• Experience owning a roadmap, making resource-investment decisions, and evaluating the results
• Bonus: experience with games, gamification, or game mechanics and their use in driving in-app behaviors
• Mastery of the metrics, methods, and frameworks used to optimize retention and engagement
• Experience with in-app promotions management a plus
• Very strong data analysis skills, including expertise in using data analytics and understanding product usage patterns
• Bonus for SQL or other technical skills that enable you to directly access/validate underlying data
• The ability to train, mentor, and generally level-up other product managers
• History of getting things done that require cross-functional collaboration and alignment
