Product Designer

Who is this for?

We are looking for a designer who can build in ambiguous, challenging and yet rewarding environments. We are building the future of real estate transactions and need someone who can help build experiences which have never existed before.

The role

As a design lead, you are a thought-leader in the organization. You are able to build the entire customer journey by defining the information architecture, wireframing, mockups and prototypes. You are also able to run ad-hoc usability tests on your prototypes to help inform the direction of the product. You will help pave the way for innovation through your work, in not only what we make, but how we make it.

You are a self-starter in every sense of the word: you set your own (reasonable) timelines, deadlines and workflows which the product and engineering teams can plug into.

The Design Lead will report into the Head of Design in an individual contributor (IC) role.

Duties

Lead entire projects or initiatives - define strategy, and set the vision for the user experience.

Inspire and direct the team to help them build meaningful designs.

Responsible for advancing craft on the team. Ensure consistency across the entire platform.

Partner with Product Managers, Engineers and company leaders to define customer problems and goals, build user flows, prototypes and launch solutions to never before solved problems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with end-to-end design.
• 2+ years of experience focused on user research.
• Strong portfolio showcasing past work and ability.
• Excellent visual and interaction design skills.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate a team through ambiguity and setting the vision.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Defines the process and accurately scopes their work.

Bonus Points

• Familiarity with real-estate technologies and audiences.
• Knowledge and experience with frontend development.
