Labforward is a technology start-up developing groundbreaking Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) products for laboratories and scientists.  

We have three core products: Labfolder - an electronic laboratory notebook that allows scientists to record all their data in one place, Laboperator - a platform to connect and control laboratory devices using IoT technology, and Labregister - the inventory management system of the lab.

Our products are collaborative, easy to use, and make scientific data more reliable. We are building the operating system of the lab, connecting data, devices and researchers. We will never stop innovating to enhance productivity at the bench with technology.

We provide products for the world's greatest minds, so we are looking for an exceptional Product Designer to own the end-to-end design process for one of our product teams. You will be reporting to the Product Design Lead.

About the role

  • Actively participate in ideation processes, product discovery and design sprints
  • Provide static designs and prototypes, while assessing their technical feasibility
  • Maintain UI component and asset libraries 
  • Assist engineers and facilitate development when needed
  • Help to constantly improve processes in the product team and in the company 
  • Participate in user testing sessions

Our Current Tech Stack

  • Prototyping: Figma, UXPin
  • Project Management: Jira, Confluence, Github
  • Front-end: Aurelia, React

About you

  • You have 3+ years experience as a Product Designer, preferably in providing designs for at least one digital SaaS B2B product
  • You have worked with mobile and responsive designYou are proficient in Figma for prototyping
  • You are able to abstract information from complex architectures and have an agile working methodology
  • You are proficient in English and have at least German B1
  • You are a team player and a good communicator with great level of self organization and time management
  • Nice to have 
  • Knowledge and experience from scientific laboratories
  • Knowledge of the utilized frontend technologies (Aurelia, React)
