Life as a Product Designer at Cognism

Reporting into our Head of UX Design, you will be:


  • Driving design problems within your squad
  • Bringing your squad together to form and communicate a vision
  • Strategic and purposeful in making design decisions by integrating user, business, and technical considerations into your design process
  • Creating clarity through journeys, wireframes, and prototypes
  • Validating and iterating designs
  • Executing designs in pixel perfect UI in close collaboration with our Engineers
  • Creating a great product and UI experience
  • Planning and prioritising sprint work with Product Managers and our engineering team
  • Sharing, giving feedback and building on work with our wider product and design team underpinned by our design principles
  • Working collaboratively and building great products together
  • Self-motivated and autonomous.
  • Deliver on projects with measurable outcomes/impact
  • Sharing and mentoring your time to other Product Designers helping up-skill and building great relationships.

Requirements

About you ...

As an experienced and collaborative Product Designer, you excel at working with others and inspiring them to achieve their best. Your creativity and problem-solving skills enable you to make a real impact on our customers' experience with our products. We are looking for someone who challenges convention and approaches design with a focus on real-world problems.

You should ideally have around 5+ years of experience designing modern web applications, with a proven track record of delivering design work that drives overall business goals. Your passion for quality, craftsmanship, and the impact of design is reflected in your familiarity with design systems, processes, and brand experiences.

Key requirements for this role include:

  • Creativity and problem-solving skills: You should be able to make a real difference with our customers' experience of our products.
  • Squad experience: You should be used to working in squads with product managers and engineering teams.
  • User focus: You should have experience developing, shipping, and iterating with a user focus.
  • Passion for design: You should be passionate about quality, craftsmanship, and the impact of design.
  • Familiarity with design systems: You should be familiar with design systems, processes, and brand experiences.
