Product Designer (UI/UX)

Role

We are looking for a Product Designer who will represent the two main characteristics of design: Usability and Desirability in a cross-functional product team. You will be doing user research, opportunity mapping, ideation and facilitation, conceptualization, validation/testing and delivering UI using, or contributing to, our design system.

At Airtame, our designers work in empowered product teams closely collaborating with product managers and software developers. Even though we work across different teams, as a unified Design team, we are still involved in each other's work. We inspire, discuss and help each other on a daily basis to drive the Airtame experience forward and make it even better for our customers.

You will be an essential part of building out our screen sharing, video conferencing and signage capabilities for end-users within tens of thousands of organizations across the globe.

Accountabilities

• Gather and distill insights through user research and interviews.
• Team up with the teams' product manager and lead developer to support the objectives by crafting design hypotheses and assumptions that will be the starting point for new innovative digital solutions.
• Run an open design process from idea to implementation sharing your work on a continuous basis with your peers and team.
• Design and develop flows, working prototypes, sketches, and high-fidelity visual designs.
• Own and manage our UI component library and collaborate with the Development teams as an ambassador of the library
• Create a unified experience across the entire customer journey with high quality user flows creating intuitive navigation.
• Take responsibility for implementing designs supported by our design guidelines and design system.
• Keep improving our design processes in close collaboration with the other designers.
• Facilitate collaborative design workshops and performing design experiments with prototypes and real users.

Competences

Our ideal candidate will have:

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in designing digital products for users on web and mobile.
• The ability to conceptualize, work in low and high fidelity, deliver strong visual design & intuitive navigation for users. 
• Strong collaboration skills and experience working well across different teams and to communicate your work and design rationale in an engaging manner. 
• Experience with Figma and Jira or similar design and collaboration tools. You will have to execute your and your team's ideas. To support that we have developed our design system: Airtame UI, that you will become responsible for.
• Experience with user research and product discovery.
• An understanding of the product development life-cycle, which you will join as a key person in the process from concept, implementation to quality assurance and beyond.
• High proficiency in English and strong communication and presentation skills.
