At Snorkel AI, we’re redefining how people and organizations build AI applications. Snorkel started as a research project in the Stanford AI Lab in 2016, creating a higher-level interface to machine learning through programmatically labeled and managed training data. From deploying in some of the world’s largest and most sophisticated tech organizations, to empowering scientists, doctors, and journalists — we’ve seen firsthand how this approach democratizes and accelerates AI. Now, we’re building Snorkel Flow to bring our technology to everyone!
Excited to help us redefine how AI applications are built? Apply to be the newest Snorkeler!

We aim to create intelligent, thoughtful and user centric experiences across all of our products and touchpoints, and we are looking for a Product Designer to join us and play a key role in delivering our objectives.

  • Participate in generative user research and competitor analysis to understand customers needs, behaviours. Isolate pain points in user flows and improve the overall product experience

  • Working alongside both brand and product teams to define, craft and evolve our design system, creating a unified experience across platforms and customer touchpoints

  • Collaborate with engineering, strategy and product design to create intuitive interfaces for complex ML development

  • Proactively solicit and provide feedback from designers and the broader product team in order to continually raise our bar for quality, while also tackling mentorship of more junior members of the team

Role Requirements

  • Qualified candidates should have at least 5+ years experience working as UX professional or product designer.

  • A strong portfolio with a variety of design challenges you have solved to demonstrate thoughtful approach and attention to detail

  • Proven experience of UCD design principles and methodologies, with an ability to conduct competitor analysis & benchmarking, create user journeys, user flows, sitemaps, wireframes and interactive prototypes

  • Experience conducting usability testing; demonstrating an ability to plan, conduct and analyse your own studies using in-person, remote or online methods

  • Ability to work collaboratively by providing and receiving feedback in a fast-paced environment

Bonus Points

  • Keen interest and familiarity with AI, machine learning or data science. Frontend web development experience is a plus!

About you

  • You’re a stickler for detail, quality, and always looking for ways to make things better

  • You know that good design is often a journey, using early concepts and prototypes to help build conviction along the way

  • You’re a passionate advocate for evidence-based design, with strong skills in both discovery research and usability testing

  • You enjoy taking on fuzzy problems and boiling them down into simple, elegant, easy to use solutions

  • You have a good sense of humour and enjoy being part of a phenomenal team
