Product Designer, Seller Platform Experience

As a designer for the Seller Platform Experience, you will be part of the broader Square Developer team that focuses on building solutions at the intersection where sellers and developers meet. These solutions help keep our sellers participating in a thriving economy, and are expanding what's possible in the Square ecosystem of products. The Square Developer organization oversees the Developer Experience (a complete package of tools and resources our third-party developers use to build Square connected products), the Seller Platform Experience, which includes the Square App Marketplace (a distribution center for apps and services that work with the Square ecosystem), and the Square Solution Partner directory (a place for sellers to connect with developers for their custom needs).

As a product designer for the Seller Platform Experience, you will help create remarkable experiences that our sellers use to discover and engage with Square's third-party ecosystem of solutions. This role will frequently involve working with partners outside of the Square Developer team to create solutions that work throughout our first-party ecosystem.

This is a high impact role and we're looking for someone that is motivated by complex problems. You'll be responsible for decisions that directly influence the product and roadmap. We believe in generalists that have a hand in each stage of product development, so Product Designers at Square take projects from napkin sketches to final visual specifications. Design- and customer-focused thinking is the secret to our building a platform that delivers real and tangible value to our sellers and developers alike. You will work with other designers, product managers, analysts, and engineers.

You have:

• 5+ years of professional design experience
• A portfolio of multiple shipped projects on which you were the primary designer
• The ability to articulate high-level team goals and connect your work to larger team or company initiative
• Experience working across native platforms and web
