The Platform team is looking for a Product Designer with experience building interfaces for SaaS products and/or low-code solutions to help expand Sure’s current and future offerings. This exciting role allows you to collaborate on high-impact initiatives with world-renowned SaaS customers like Mastercard, Farmers Insurance, and Toyota.

You’ll report to the Chief Design Officer, and will be responsible for designing elegant platform features that empower global insurers as well as brands to distribute and service any insurance policy digitally.

You’ll need to provide deliverables under tight deadlines with input from many senior-level and client stakeholders. Strong collaboration skills are a must, as well as coolness under pressure, problem solving, attention to detail, and the ability to mediate and cope with rapid change. The work requires a dedicated individual who champions our high standards and design aesthetic.

What you'll be doing:

Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to define your features and contribute to the overall direction of your product area
Work across the entire design organization to develop innovative patterns and systems that are durable, repeatable and set a new standard for craft across the company
Create, collaborate, and iterate on prototypes, wireframes, high-fidelity visuals
Contribute to the creation and ideation of delightful consumer experiences for purchasing and managing insurance products, connecting our client’s business with their intended audience
Deeply understand user needs and drive alignment around core platform concepts by creating models, concept diagrams, workflow diagrams, and journey maps
Design, support, and ship key parts of the core Sure platform product
Manage and expand on best-in-class proprietary design systems

What we’re looking for:

Minimum 3-5 years professional design experience, preferably at an agency or in-house design team for a product-driven business
A portfolio of work that showcases excellence in interaction design, visual design, and problem solving
Leverage design experience to simplify complex problems to their essential elements; create simple and elegant design solutions to complicated problems
Get curious about our domain and strive to become experts in our users' business practices
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to clearly communicate concepts and designs through sketches, wireframes, high fidelity designs, and prototypes, using Figma and—as a bonus—HTML and CSS
Comfortable communicating with internal or external stakeholders
Ability to juggle multiple projects and pivot when priorities shift
Flexible and comfortable with ambiguity and change during a project
Comfortable taking on medium to large-scale projects involving multiple teams and requests; notices opportunities to augment projects without being asked
An open mind to learn, collaborate, and educate others
Finds opportunities for inclusive design and easily identifies when improvements to design and/or design processes are needed
