Product Designer

Team Description

Pendo is a multi-app platform that gives users a better understanding of how their targeted applications are being used. Pendo gives product teams a better understanding of their own product and how it’s being used. 

The Platform team focuses on the underlying technology that powers the Pendo platform and will be building for Pendo developers, customer and third-party developers, as well as Pendo end-users. The designer for our Platform teams is responsible for working with Product and Engineering counterparts to shape these ideas and to provide iterative, data-driven solutions that are useful, usable, accessible and lovable. You will be focused on features that touch the entire Pendo platform such as Settings, Admin controls, APIs, and integrations. 

Role Responsibilities

This candidate will be expected to be involved in all aspects of the design process: talking with customers and identifying insights, iterating on lo-fi designs and workflows, sharing your work with key stakeholders to gather feedback, building hi-fi deliverables, and collaborating closely with engineering and product to ship designs in an agile environment. They will collaborate with teammates in the US, Israel, and the UK to help raise the bar for all aspects of product design and help elevate our product. This Product Designer will provide Design support for multiple feature teams. They will also utilize a deep understanding of product management, Pendo's product ecosystem, a result-oriented landscape, industry / market best practices / trends to positively impact business objectives. Below is a list of expected responsibilities to succeed in this role: 

• Experience in prototyping, interaction design, visual design, user research
• Craft end-to-end user experiences grounded in customer insights, data, business goals
• Intentionally influence roadmaps and product decisions with customer insights.
• Clearly articulate the platform vision and initiatives to product teams and stakeholders.
• Experience working with design systems
• Experience working with multi-office and/or distributed teams
• Desire to strengthen the chemistry, diversity, and inclusiveness of our team
• Become intimately familiar with Pendo as a product.

Minimum Qualifications  

• 2+ years of Product Design experience working on SaaS products 
• The ability to create design solutions (wireframes, concepts, and high fidelity prototypes using Figma) based on user research and business objectives
• Previous experience using design tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite)
• Experience utilizing design systems and UI components
• Portfolio of existing work providing case studies and design approach

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience designing applications for Enterprise organizations
• Front-end knowledge (HTML, CSS, JS) is helpful, but not required, for some prototyping and testing
• Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
• Working in an Agile environment (2 week sprints)
• Ability to write or give feedback on UI copy

Compensation

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of many compensation, benefits and other reward opportunities we provide.

The expected salary range for this role to be performed in:

Raleigh, NC - USD $90,000 - $105,000

Individual pay rate decisions, including offers made within and over the expected salary range, are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company.
