Product Designer

We’re looking for an exceptional Product Designer to join one of our mobile app squads and shape the user experience for millions of couples who use Paired on a monthly basis to stay connected.

From user research and brainstorming to the creation of visually compelling interfaces, you’ll be involved in every aspect of the product development process and work on high-impact features that are redefining the future of relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead design within one of the Paired mobile app squads, working closely with engineers, researchers, PMs, QA and data analysts
• Collaborate with research to understand how our users think and feel to inform design decisions
• Participate in the product discovery process and find delightful and practical solutions to user problems
• Craft exceptional flows and experiences that are easy to use and follow our design principles
• Create intuitive, accessible, and visually compelling UI and interactions
• Iterate on designs by interpreting user behaviour and data and incorporating stakeholder feedback
• Employ and evolve our design system to keep UI efficient and consistent
• Contribute to our design culture and share knowledge and best practices with designers from other squads

Requirements

• Strong experience working on UX and UI for B2C mobile products
• Deep knowledge of best practices for information architecture, navigation, UX, and UI design
• Ability to multi-task across multiple work streams
• Comfortable iterating and refining existing solutions
• Proactive, self-starter who brings original ideas and fresh approaches to design challenges
• Experience working within an agile development team
• Proficient in modern design tools (we use Figma predominantly) with an interest in learning new tools
• Knowledge of prototyping tools (Marvel, Origami, Protopie, etc)
• (Bonus) SVG Animation skills using frameworks like Lottie
• (Bonus) Experience conducting user research and user testing sessions
