Meet your Future Neighbors
As a Product Designer with Nextdoor, Inc. (San Francisco, CA) you’ll:
- Utilize digital illustration and digital design software to create designs, leading design projects, from conceptualization to completion.
- Create clear and compelling visual elements to deliver a message in mobile apps and websites.
- Create visual design concepts for marketing and product usage, from sketches to finished design options using software, including Sketch, Invision, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator.
- Design layouts, including selection of colors, images, and typefaces.
- Prepare reports to present design concepts to Executives.
- Review designs, deliver and discuss to engineering, and incorporate recommended changes into final designs.
- Collaborate with engineers on building out advanced designs and work with technical limitations.
What You’ll Bring to The House
- Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Biology or a closely related quantitative discipline.
- Three (3) years of progressive post-bachelor’s experience in the position offered or as a User Experience Designer, or closely related position.
- Must have demonstrated experience in the following: Utilizing Figma to create designs with digital illustration and digital design software for user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) of mobile applications and web pages; Utilizing Adobe Suites, including Photoshop, Illustration, Premiere, and AfterEffects, to create clear and compelling visual elements, original images and icons for marketing and product usage; Conduct user research to understand customer demographics, preferences, and needs; Reviewing business/product requirements and collaborating with engineers to ensure quality assurance of software for users of digital products; Utilizing A/B testing models to improve campaign metrics and achieve higher form conversions; Leading, driving, and shaping workshops and activities that affect key decisions; Creating rich interactive prototypes with Figma, Framer, and object-oriented programming languages; and Utilizing mobile and responsive web design principles and best practices.

The starting salary for this role is expected to range from $128,000 - $176,000/year on an annualized basis.
We also expect to award a meaningful equity grant for this role. With equal quarterly vesting, your first vest date would be within the first 3 months of your start date.
Overall, total compensation will vary depending on your relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
