We’re looking for a product designer to design groundbreaking experiences for our Lyft Rentals team.
Lyft Rentals is a new product on the Lyft platform which allows users to seamlessly rent a car for weekend getaways, business travel, and errands. This product is a critical piece of Lyft’s multi-modal offering and has been growing at a rapid pace. Our teams are solving the most challenging technical and human problems in the industry with all of the data, technologies, and methodologies enabled by Lyft’s scale. We are looking for an entrepreneurial, customer-obsessed, and passionate designer to innovate and execute.
As a product designer for Lyft Rentals, you will be involved at every step of product development, from brainstorming broad ideas to ensuring design quality through launch. Lyft is looking for a design leader who uses their full range of interaction, visual, and product thinking skills, to lead and own an experience.
Our projects range from tactical to strategic business decisions, all the way to crafting the future of the business. The designer for Lyft Rentals will focus on improving both our core in-app booking experience as well as the real world physical one. By thinking end to end we will be able to cement Lyft Rentals as the best rental car experience in the industry.
The Fleet design team is a diverse group of designers, researchers, content designers, and a design program manager. Our team has both new grads as well as senior staff, and we represent a diverse and global population. We work collaboratively and pride ourselves on being considerate and honest with one another.
In a lot of ways we function as a startup, meaning we all work closely and collaboratively across organizations to align on product vision and ship product. Our Design and Research teams live and breathe user-centered process to create the best possible, end-to-end, experience for millions of Passengers and Drivers daily. We can be scrappy when we need to be, though we are always focused on quality and influence.
As a qualified candidate, you have a track record of leading projects to successful outcomes for users and the business. You are a strong cross-functional partner, great communicator, and are able to take a solution from idea to implementation. You uphold a high quality bar and have a strong appreciation for the details. Above all, you approach problems holistically and create elegantly simple solutions to multi-faceted problems.
For candidates living in Colorado the expected base pay range is $130,240.00 - $188,320.00 and depending on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location.
This role is work-from-anywhere, excluding the following states and territory: Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, West Virginia, Wyoming, Puerto Rico.
