Product Design, Engagement Team at Lattice

Lattice's Engagement Team builds products that help leaders and teams build and sustain healthy, engaged cultures. The team is focused on building holistic experiences to help teams gather and take action on feedback directly from employees about their experiences at work. Lattice’s mission is to make work meaningful, and this team is building tools to make that possible.

This role would be a great fit if you are passionate about learning how to facilitate and assess engagement between people, asking for and evaluating feedback, and designing and interpreting data to tell a story and drive change. We are looking for an Intern that cares about making work meaningful, looking to improve their skills, collaborating with others, and applying their design skills. What You Will Do

As an intern at Lattice, you’ll be an integral member of the Design team, working and learning alongside our talented team. This is an opportunity to develop skills and expertise in product design, user experience, and user interface design. Interns will be provided with one-on-one mentorship and feedback throughout their internship.

• You’ll report to a Senior member of our Product Design team who will work with you to outline goals and growth during your internship. This will include a 30/60/90 day plan to execute upon. 
• You'll be embedded within a product pod, collaborate closely with the Design Team, as well as learn from cross-functional partners across the organization.
• Depending on your interests and goals, you will likely:
• Work with product managers to define the problem you are solving
• Help form the design solution for a Lattice feature with user journeys, wireframes, and prototypes
• Test and iterate on your designs with real Lattice users 
• Work with engineering to implement designs
• Help build our external team presence in our Design Newsletter
• Participate and contribute to fun Lattice Design rituals like design throw-up, crit roulette, and cooldowns!

What You Will Bring to the Table

• A commitment to the 12 weeks, 40hrs/week Internship
• You care deeply about creating intuitive, easy to use experiences for end users
• You have an appetite to learn and grow yourself, your design skills and craft, as well as soft skills like collaboration and communication
• You are a good communicator and understand the value of clarity and honesty

• You have an owner’s mindset and go above and beyond to understand the challenges, constraints, and opportunities in the work you do
• You bring others into your work, show empathy, assume good intentions, and look out for others
• Actively pursuing a full-time degree, bootcamp, or education in Product Design or Design related fields

• A strong baseline in visual design and/or interaction design skills 
• You are able to present a project that represents a problem you solved, the process that you got there, and the solution. This can be concept work completed in school or in your own time.
