Product Designer, Growth (NYC)

About the role

We’re seeking mid-level and senior-level designers to join the growing Growth Design team at Chime. As a Product Designer, you’ll work with creative thinkers, tech innovators, and savvy builders to help design and create products that disrupt the financial industry. The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $133,300 and up to $185,100. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience

This is a hybrid role based in New York City with 2-3 days per week in the office.

In this role, you can expect to

• Act as an evangelist for design and our members 
• Partner with cross functional colleagues to create products that bring positive change to our members lives and grow the company
• Provide design critique and offer leadership to others on the team
• Use a human-centered design process to solve member problems
• Contribute to our design standards and push them forward

To thrive in this role, you have

• A consistent record of building successful consumer mobile apps.
• A portfolio of industry defining visual and interaction design samples.
• The ability to balance business objectives with user needs. You represent both sides and balance your design decisions, getting the best possible outcome for both.
• The ability to take a first principles approach to sophisticated problems and articulate the decisions behind every design detail.
• A growth mindset, be an optimist, and be adaptable! We’re a fast growing company and are learning as we grow.
• Ability to code or build a prototype is a plus.
