Gifting is one of those things that everyone does, but unlike many other parts of our lives that apps have revolutionized, there hasn't been much innovation in making it easier to send gifts to people you care about.
Yet, at the same time, it serves an important role: it's a way you can appreciate someone, add to the excitement of a major milestone, or just help you send positivity to someone. Not only is receiving a gift super fun, but sending one and doing something nice for someone else is also super positive.
We want to bring that to more people by making it easier to send gifts, by solving finding gifts to give (through our curation), making it easier to give a gift (we don't need an address – your recipient can enter it themselves), and make the whole experience delightful. People who use Goody say it's not like anything they've seen before, owing to our unique user experience.
And in less than a year, we've sent over 50,000 gifts, have signed brands like Brooklinen, Levain Bakery, and Food52, and companies like Google, Stripe, Facebook, and Compass use Goody.

As a product designer, it's no small task to design for something so personal as gifting. We have a high bar for the user experience on both the sender and recipient side, and the ideal designer would not only think about visual design, but also how design impacts emotional experience, how Goody contextually fits in to our users' lives, and sociology.
Goody serves both consumer users, through our mobile app, and business users, through our web product, Goody+. Since our consumer app is what we started with and is more built out, to start, you'll be working primarily on the business product as well as improving the recipient gift experience, and later will be part of big efforts on the consumer app.
You'll pair with our product lead, Mark Bao, who is also a designer and the technical co-founder of the company (also the one who is typing this description right now), to build and iterate experience across all parts of the company. You'll also be working on collaboration with our engineering team, who also has a high bar for quality in implementing those designs.

We recognize that design and experience is what makes Goody unique and has brought us the success we've had so far. We're looking for a product designer who understands how design shapes not only a product but a company, and who wants to build a product that helps bring positivity to people and do something good. If that sounds like you, let's chat!
