About the Position

Foursquare is looking for a Product Designer to join our team!

In this role you will be embedded within a product team, working collaboratively with engineering, data science, and stakeholders to drive design, strategy, and execution.

Our ideal candidate has a strong background in product design, user-experience methodologies, and experience with SaaS platform products used by analysts, marketers, developers, and technical users.

In this role, you’ll

• Take ownership of the full design lifecycle for new features and product improvements, from initial concept to implementation.
• Create and iterate wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that communicate functionality and intent effectively.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams in an agile environment, to design and build efficient interface solutions within technical & time constraints.
• Articulate design decisions to stakeholders, highlighting benefits, tradeoffs, and impact on user experience, business objectives, and timelines.
• Collaborate with other product designers and participate in design critiques to ensure high standards and consistency across Foursquare products.
• Regularly use, improve, and contribute to Foursquare’s Design System.

What you’ll need

• 8+ years of product design experience, with a focus on SaaS platforms or data-centric products.
• Proven ability to work in autonomous environments with minimal oversight, especially on teams without dedicated PMs.
• Experience in leading complex cross-functional projects, and designing and evolving enterprise software in a fast-past environment with multiple constraints.
• Deep understanding of user-centered design methodologies, interaction design, information architecture, and prototyping.

• Comfortable with both high-level vision and detail-focused execution with potentially ambiguous and changing product requirements.

• Fluency in current software development tooling and production environments including Figma and JIRA.

• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or relevant experience in a full-cycle product design environment

At Foursquare, we are committed to providing competitive pay and benefits that are in line with industry and market standards.  Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, and specific office location.

The annual total cash compensation range is $150,000 - $200,000, however actual salaries can vary based on a candidate’s qualifications, skills and competencies, as well as location. 

Salary is just one component of Foursquare’s total compensation package, which includes restricted stock units, multiple health insurance options, and a wide range of benefits!
