Working at Atlassian
Atlassian can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. Assuming you have eligible working rights and a sufficient time zone overlap with your team, you can choose to work remotely or from an office (unless it’s necessary for your role to be performed in the office). Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.
Your future team
As an important member of the team, you'll work on world-class integration experiences for Atlassian products, enabling our vibrant ecosystem of Atlassian Marketplace Partners to build apps using our cloud app development platform.
As a Product Designer, reporting to the Design Manager, you'll create and improve experiences for the customers who interact with apps in Atlassian products. You'll support the team on their mission to build world-class product extensibility features for our biggest products like Jira.
Note: This role may be performed from across the EMEA region.
What you'll do
- Work in an experienced, tight-knit team alongside a product manager and engineers to improve the experience of how developers solve more of our customer's "jobs to be done"
- Work directly with your cross-functional team to have creative autonomy & impact across the product
- Have the opportunity to work across the entire end-to-end design process, from very early-stage research and ideation, to iteration and implementation
Your background
- 3+ years of professional UX/product design experience, and open to designing for complex or enterprise-level software
- Confidence in presenting your work and getting others on board with your design direction
- Ability to define projects and measures of success, test your assumptions and outcomes, and continuously incorporate feedback.
- Skills in synthesizing insights from qualitative and quantitative research
- Proficiency in designing with tools such as Figma & Miro
- Strong facilitation and collaboration abilities, a flexible and friendly approach to working with teams, and the ability to collaborate with, influence, and impact different cross-functional partners and teams across the organization
- Incredible communication skills in one-on-one settings, group meetings, and writing, with the ability to give and receive feedback and translate technical content to non-technical people
- Excitement for using and advocating for user-centered design methods and best practices, Atlassian Design Guidelines, Playbook plays, and design tools
- Excited by the complexity of the developer tools space and solving complex real-world problems.
- Ideally, you're comfortable with a technical domain: you understand your way around code, even if just at a basic level
