The team
Our Product Experience team - Design, Information, and Insights - focuses on our customers and their business needs. We contribute from the concept all the way to the building of world-class product experiences by partnering with Product Managers, Program Managers, Software Engineers and other cross-functional teams. Together, we are a team of craftspeople who aim to make the complex look easy. We employ insights, pixels, and words to solve big problems and make delightful experiences.

This position
As a Product Designer, you will design elegant, customer-focused web and/or mobile applications for millions of DocuSign users around the globe. You will be responsible for the user interface, its architecture, interaction, user research and visual design across platforms. You are a talented, passionate, efficient designer with strong analytic skills and an inventive storyteller. You collaborate with colleagues with ease and bring cross-functional teams together around a common vision. You welcome feedback from a wide variety of stakeholders and research ideas, and tap your intuition to make the right decision in the absence of definitive facts. You adeptly balance business needs with simple, engaging, user-centered solutions. You are adept at working in an Agile/Scrum product development environment that is cross-functional and highly collaborative.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to a Product Design Manager and is designated Flex.

Responsibilities

• Champion design, pushing yourself to explore big ideas before narrowing in on feasible, inventive solutions that sweat the small details
• Partner with product management, engineering, user research and tech writers to define multiple product features, owning the design execution with support from senior designers
• Participate in and help run cross-functional design thinking workshops
• Produce deliverables for every stage of the design process - storyboards, wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes, and pixel-perfect visual assets for web and mobile
• Utilize and contribute new patterns to DocuSign’s design system to maintain scalable design across our product ecosystem
• Leverage data points like analytics and research to inform your work but rely on your intuition to fill in the gaps
• Contribute to a creative, supportive culture for the entire Product Experience team
  

Basic qualifications 

• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience 
• Minimum of 2 years of experience designing consumer, enterprise and mobile user experiences for a large-scale web service
• Minimum of 2 years in interaction design, visual design and design thinking, with experience in prototyping and user research
• Minimum of 2 years with design and prototyping tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, InVision and Axure

• Be a deep thinker and natural communicator who clearly articulates design decisions and tells compelling stories that inspire action
• Experience working on a fully remote team
• Portfolio of work inspired by user research demonstrating product design strategy, interaction design, visual design, prototyping, articulation of design rationale, strong communication and storytelling skills
