Product Designer - Design System

How you will make an impact:

• Lead the design, maintenance, and evolution of the design system, ensuring consistency, scalability, and accessibility across all products.
• Collaborate closely with product teams, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the design system is effectively integrated into the product development lifecycle.
• Mentor designers and engineers, fostering a culture of learning and growth within the team.
• Manage the documentation of the design system, including UI components, guidelines, and best practices, ensuring clarity and ease of use for both design and development teams.
• Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate teams on design system components and best practices.
• Oversee the integration of the design system with development tools and ensure smooth implementation in code.
• Champion the principles of accessibility, performance optimization, and maintainability in all design work.
• Regularly communicate the state of the design system to stakeholders, tracking progress and impact on the organization.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in UX design with a focus on design systems, including hands-on experience with design tools like Figma, Storybook, and React.
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work across product, design, and engineering teams.
• Expertise in creating, managing, and iterating on design system components, with a focus on scalability and user accessibility.
• Understanding of front-end development, including familiarity with frameworks like React, and an understanding of how design translates into code (no actual coding skills needed).
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex design concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
