WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

Are you a critical thinker? Are you willing to challenge ideas and receive feedback? Are you comfortable with ambiguity? We are seeking a fearless and passionate Product Designer to join Braze’s Frontend Infrastructure and Experience team.

Product Designers at Braze have the freedom to work on all aspects of the user experience, with particular strength in at least one area of user experience, or service design — user research, user flows, wireframing, diagramming, interaction design, rapid prototyping, design documentation, or motion design, to name a few examples.

WHAT YOU'LL DO: 

You’ll help to scale our design system, Beacon with cross-functional peers in order to elevate the quality of the Braze customer experience. You’ll also enable our internal teams to focus on solving customer problems efficiently and identify opportunities to improve and expand the system by understanding internal needs. Collaborating with Front End Engineers to identify technical constraints and gathering needs from the larger Product Design team, you’ll design, maintain, and evolve accessible components and patterns for our design system. You’ll also help to document, educate, onboard, and provide guidance on Design System best practices and usage to ensure cohesion. Furthermore, you’ll be an advocate for the adoption of the design system across the whole organization providing support to empower designers and engineers to work quickly with quality and consistency.

  • A framer for creative solutions; you contextualize the problem space in people’s journeys.
  • At ease with ambiguity; you learn through experimentation to find clarity.
  • A clear communicator; you articulate design decisions, their constraints, trade offs, and risks
  • A dedicated craftsperson; you use your skills of visual design, typography, color, spacing, illustration, prototyping, animation, and interaction design to create the foundation for great customer experiences.
  • An advocate for accessible design, the customer, and a well-crafted experience.
  • A growth-oriented Individual Contributor; You have a few years under your belt working and are focused on expanding your broad proficiency of skills and career.

WHAT CAPTURES OUR ATTENTION:

  • Experience designing design system frameworks including component design, documentation, and education as well as building and maintaining component libraries in Figma
  • Experience with service design and enablement documentation
  • Has a strong interest in creating accessible experiences and eagerness to learn and apply WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines.
  • Experience with any aspect of lifecycle marketing
  • Experience working on SaaS products
  • Experience working in an Agile organization, working in cross-functional teams / pods / verticals
  • Prior experience at high-growth startups
