About Daydream

Daydream is an AI powered search and discovery platform built exclusively for fashion. Designed to redefine how people shop, Daydream offers a personalized, conversational experience powered by advanced AI and natural language and image understanding. Backed by top-tier investors including Forerunner Ventures, Index Ventures, Google Ventures, and True Ventures, our team is committed to shaping the future of shopping.

About the Role:

We’re looking for a Product Designer to help shape Daydream’s product, brand and user experience. This is a hands-on role for an experienced designer who thrives in ambiguity, loves shipping products, and is excited to define what great looks like before the rules exist.

You’ll work closely with Product and Engineering to design, prototype, and iterate on core experiences. Your work will directly influence not just how the product looks and feels, but what it becomes. This role is design-heavy and execution-focused. While you will also influence future design practices and standards, the immediate priority is shipping, learning, and finding what resonates with users.

What you’ll do

  • Design core product experiences from scratch. Own end-to-end design for early product concepts and MVPs across web and app—taking ideas from whiteboard to live product quickly.

  • Prototype, test, and iterate fast. Use lightweight research, prototyping, and rapid iteration to validate ideas, learn from users, and improve the product in tight feedback loops.

  • Partner deeply with Product & Engineering. Work side-by-side with PMs and engineers to shape product direction, make tradeoffs, and ship experiments quickly.

  • Define design foundations. Help evolve initial design principles, interaction patterns, and visual direction that can work as the product matures.

  • Apply and evolve the brand in-product. Translate early brand thinking into product experiences and customer-facing surfaces, ensuring the product feels intentional even in its earliest form.

  • Explore AI-driven experiences. Experiment with AI-powered interaction models and workflows that can meaningfully improve discovery, personalization, and inspiration in shopping.

  • Raise the bar through craft and taste. Set a high quality bar through your own work—bringing strong UX instincts, visual polish, and product thinking to everything you touch.

Who you are

  • 7–10+ years of experience in product design, ideally with time spent at early-stage startups or zero-to-one products.

  • A portfolio that shows you can design from ambiguity—early concepts, MVPs, and shipped products that evolved over time.

  • Highly hands-on and comfortable working without established processes, systems, or guardrails.

  • Strong product instincts: you think in terms of user problems, hypotheses, and outcomes—not just screens.

  • Fluent in modern design tools (Figma, prototyping, AI design tools) and comfortable sharing rough work early and often.

  • Curious about AI, emerging technologies, and new interaction models—and excited to experiment before things are “fully baked.”

  • Low-ego, collaborative, and energized by fast-moving, uncertain environments where learning matters more than perfection.

What we offer

  • Competitive salary, equity and benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401k, etc.)

  • Flexible vacation and hybrid working (NYC office)

  • The opportunity to be part of a groundbreaking, AI-focused company.

  • Collaborative work environment with a team of talented, fun-loving individuals.

  • Opportunity to learn and grow in your career while shaping the future of fashion, shopping and technology
