Product Designer job at Causal

We're looking for an experienced product designer to lead our design efforts and shape the future of Causal's product and brand. Design is crucial to our success — Causal needs to have a low floor and high ceiling; a consumer-grade self-serve experience that scales to the complex needs of large enterprises.

You will

Design an entirely new branch of product functionality — tasks and collaboration — from rough concept to pixel-perfect designs
Turn our charting functionality into a coherent data visualisation system on par with Looker/Tableau
Unify our UI patterns into a design system, and evolve it with new patterns as we scale
Design high-information-density interfaces without sacrificing clarity and simplicity
Balance craft with business impact to set the right scope for each iteration of each feature
Define Causal's visual design across product features and brand marketing
Work with Sales and Customer Success to understand customer needs across different segments. Use this data and acquired intuition to prioritize, plan, and scope our product roadmap

You'll ideally

Have 3+ years experience designing productivity/data tools at high-growth companies
Have excellent taste - analytical thinking is important, but many design decisions will ultimately come down to taste and intuition
Have strong attention to detail - small details add up to define the product's feel and usability
Be comfortable with ambiguity - product ideas are often vague/abstract to start off, and need to be carefully solidified

We take the good parts of spreadsheets and combine them with the good parts of programming, to make number-crunching fast, collaborative, and accessible to everyone. We are well-funded by some great VCs (Accel, Coatue, Passion Capital) and angel investors (Naval Ravikant, Scott Belsky, and many more) across the US and Europe.

We are a globally distributed team working remotely with members of our team on both sides of the Atlantic. We do have a presence in London and NYC.
