Product Designer

Aryeo is the leading software platform for real estate photographers and media companies. Our vertical SaaS product helps photographers do everything from online scheduling and payment processing to file delivery and management. We currently power thousands of photography businesses, who in turn provide the content for hundreds of thousands of real estate listings across the US, Canada and rest of the world. Aryeo is backed by the VCs who invested in companies like DoorDash and Robinhood and built companies like Shutterstock from the ground up.

We currently do not have anyone dedicated to design and UX at Aryeo. You’ll be the first, and as a result, you’ll have full license to help craft the styles, processes, and strategies we need to help our team deliver fantastic experiences for our customers. As such, you’ll work directly with our CTO, leadership, and engineering teams on a daily basis to execute on our product roadmap and develop UIs that wow and empower our customers. This position will also have high growth potential in the future as we continue to grow the product team.

As the first product designer at Aryeo, your responsibilities include:

• Design experiences for our customers across our web and mobile apps, with the ability to balance simplicity, business impact and visual craft.
• Untangle vague conceptual problems and use your intuition to simplify these business problems into logical user flows.
• Effectively communicate your decisions through both high and low fidelity mock-ups or flows.
• Collaborate with everyone on the team - engineers, customer facing folks, etc - to syndicate ideas and customer feedback.
• Complete customer R&D yourself, talking through problems with users to best understand their needs and inform your product decisions.

Requirements

• Prior experience in UX or product design, preferably in a SaaS product environment.
• Familiarity with tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD that help you capture design ideas and deliver them effectively to the team.
• Work well in a small-team / startup environment - you’ll be collaborating with different stakeholders and our different teams constantly. Someone who can observe and weigh all potential inputs well to reach an optimal decision for our customers will excel at this role.
• You care about the business needs, implications, and practicality of your designs. You don't get stuck on pretty UI or deep abstractions, and can balance craftiness, speed, and the business bottom line.
• You can do basic coding in HTML + CSS + basic Javascript. (Even better if you're capable using TailwindCSS or Vue-level Javascript.) Ability to polish features in the codebase yourself is a plus, but not required.
