What’s the role?
The AppX team is accountable for executing on a variety of buyer experiences in Etsy’s native iOS and Android apps.  They use their domain knowledge of our native platforms to collaborate with product teams to implement web solutions with considerations specific to our native platforms.  The work this team does helps make it as easy as possible for buyers on Etsy to find what they’re looking for and make a purchase. The team is dedicated to crafting the best buyer experience to drive conversion and deliver on our topline company health metrics via iterative experimentation.

This Product Designer will craft native-first solutions to buyer problems.  We’re looking for someone who has experience applying research and data findings to drive their design decisions as well as someone who is adept at collaborating with multiple teams across the organization to deliver solutions that help meet their goals.

This is a full-time position reporting to the Senior Product Design Manager on our Buyer Experiences team. This role requires your presence in Etsy’s Mexico City office in an in-person or flex capacity. Learn more about our Flex and Office-based work modes as well as vaccination policy here.

What’s this team like at Etsy?

What does the day-to-day look like?

• Aligning with collaborators on your prioritized roadmap
• Working closely with web designers to translate their work into the native UX
• Testing prototypes with users to collect feedback
• Sharing your work with peers and leadership, async and in-person
• Taking part in weekly design critiques, workshops, all hands and squad meetings
• Thinking and writing about your design process and decisions
