Team description

Our global team of 70+ designers have deep expertise in User Experience Research, Product Design and Brand Design. We are building additional capabilities in areas including industrial design, motion design, data visualization, UX writing and design operations.

Product Designers work in co-located cross-functional teams, across all our offices in Berlin, Warsaw, Cologne, Copenhagen, Sofia, São Paulo and Santiago. They develop solutions for our core payments product including our bespoke hardware, as well as a suite of software tools that support merchants as they grow their business. We believe in quality, in making complex business tools simple, and in using data to anticipate merchants' needs as their businesses grow.

What you’ll do

  • Work on a diverse set of features for our applications, collaborating with product management and engineering to arrive at optimal solutions.
  • Coordinate across teams to create a holistic merchant experience.
  • Collaborate on all phases of the design process: participate in research and definition of the conceptual foundation for design solutions, execute excellent UX flows, apply visual design systems, prototype using a variety of tools and methods, create production ready designs, participate or conduct usability testing and support multi-disciplinary teams during implementation.
  • Create design processes that follow a human-centered approach, applying both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies to validate your solutions.

You’ll be a great fit for this role if

  • You have 2+ years of experience as a UX & UI Designer, with a strong portfolio.
  • You have strong Figma skills and have experience with other common design tools.
  • You have experience working in an agile environment and the ability to adapt quickly to changes in product priorities.
  • You have experience working in end-to-end projects (from discovery to delivery).
  • You have experience working with Design Systems.
  • You have knowledge about Design Thinking methodologies.
  • You are fluent in Spanish and have an advanced level of English - you'll be working in a truly global company.
  • You care about people. You are an empathetic and user centric person and you build strong work relationships with your team members.
  • You have the ability to make trade offs and pragmatic decisions while still striving for excellence.

Why you should join SumUp

  • You’ll be part of a company that lives and breathes to empower small merchants around the world!
  • You’ll have the opportunity to be part of a revolution in the Chilean payments industry.

  • You'll have the space to drive your career and take ownership of projects.
  • Flexible hours - you’ll have freedom to align with the team to make your own schedule.
  • Rewarding compensation + transport and meal vouchers.
