Job Summary
The Alice team is looking for a Product Designer with a strong background in UX/UI and motion design. You will design concepts, motion graphics, and interactive experiences that support our mobile product and website. We are tasked with the exciting responsibility of growing Alice’s brand and building awareness for our company and innovative product.
You would join as the second designer on the team. Although we may hold different responsibilities, we support each other and explore ideas and projects together, because our mission, brand, and visual identity touch and affect everything we do.
You will report directly to the Design Lead based in Los Angeles.
What you'll do
- See through the entire product pipeline and touch points for mobile app & web app
- Dive deep into a specific area with an acute attention to detail and zoom back-out without losing momentum
- Create branded animations to enhance collateral through motion
- Bring ideas that would level-up our visual brand while maintaining a high standard across all projects
- Keep up with and set trends in the reservation/experiences space
- Source, prepare, and maintain assets for design projects
Qualifications
- Experience in building and shipping applications or software
- Experience with front-end programming (or at least familiar with popular web frameworks like React, Angular, VueJS)
- Application design experience
- 3+ years of visual design experience
- Interaction design experience
- 3+ years of strategic product thinking and vision experience
- Experience designing for groups of people (multi-language localization, international audiences, accessibility for people with disabilities, etc.) This is require given that Alice will have an audience from various audiences globally and usually requires a designer to creates designs that scale beyond just English speakers.
- Prototyping experience in software like Framer, Principle, ProtoPie, etc. Designer should feel 100% comfortable prototyping complex experience and interactions
- 3+ years of experience as a design generalist with a background in UX/UI & motion graphics
- Stellar portfolio that shows great typography, layout and motion—all of which showcases creative problem solving through the lens of a compelling visual identity
- Eager to work in a fast-paced environment that allows you to take on many responsibilities and own many projects
- Strong organizational skills, can manage multiple projects, and are comfortable working towards deadlines
- Excited to learn new mediums, software, and techniques—we value and encourage a do-it-yourself mindset
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma/Sketch, Adobe After Effects
Bonus Points
- A bonus for Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere
- Experience designing for a global audience, scaling beyond just English speakers
We have a very strong preference for in-person work in Los Angeles
