Acuity Scheduling is a distinct brand and platform within the Squarespace suite of products, functioning alone or alongside Squarespace websites. Our mission is to help appointment-based businesses start and grow their service businesses by allowing clients to directly schedule appointments seamlessly, giving our users more time to focus on what they love doing and manage daily tasks more efficiently.

We are seeking a Product Designer to transform the end-client-facing Acuity product experience. You will work with product managers, engineers, user research, product analytics, product marketing and other product designers to create a scheduling experience that solves real-world problems and improves our client booking experience of Acuity.

You will report to our Product Design Director in Acuity Scheduling. Acuity is headquartered in New York City and you will have the option to work onsite, hybrid, or fully remote.

You'll Get To…

  • Collaborate with partners to think holistically about the user journey and product ecosystem to create thoughtful, elegant solutions to complex problems
  • Develop user flows that allow you to craft visually refined experiences and contribute to an evolving design system and brand expression
  • Advocate for the end-client experience and demonstrate an understanding of user needs by partnering with UXR, CustOps and Product Analytics, looking at data in equal measure.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing to deliver product design that is on-brand and works within our CMS.
  • Be a strategic partner in discussions with partners to identify future opportunities, clarify design impact and craft a coherent narrative for further design investment using storytelling.
  • Contribute to the business strategy by collaborating with your product and engineering team to maintain clear understanding of goals and priorities, from concept through delivery and beyond.

Who We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience or internship experience and well-crafted portfolio.
  • Well-versed in the full spectrum of UX methodologies with a penchant for delivering a brand's voice and tone through visual craft
  • Demonstrated understanding of the design development process from low to high fidelity, application of service design, information hierarchy and content design with experience facilitating workshops and research.
  • Experience tailoring your story telling and context to different audiences, collaborating with peers to get leadership onboard as you bring user and business needs together.
  • CMS, Social Media and B2C SaaS experience is ideal.
  • Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, browsers, mobile devices, modern payment processes.

You will present a portfolio of 2-3 case studies that highlight your best UX design work. Outlining your process inclusive of the problem and solution (sketching, wireframes, visual design, sitemaps, user flows, design systems, accessibility considerations and prototyping), then speak to the impact of your design decisions and how outcomes were measured.

Cash Compensation Range: $101,500 - $178,250 USD

The base salary for this position will vary based on job-related criteria including relevant skills, experience, and location, among other factors.

In addition to the cash compensation above (which includes base salary and, where applicable for eligible roles, may include on-target commissions or overtime pay), all Squarespace employees are eligible to receive equity in the company as part of their total compensation.
