We're proud to champion a more sustainable way to use tech. With an average of 3-4 rental cycles per device depending on the category, we estimate that the rental of our portfolio from 2015-2021 resulted in 160,000 fewer e-waste products and about 250 tons of e-waste. 

To continue this incredible adventure, we are looking for a motivated Associate Product Designer (m/f/x) on a 1 year-limited contract for our talented Design team, at our Berlin HQ.

You will work as part of a collaborative cross-functional product engineering team and a diverse design team. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a junior designer to gain experience in a fast-paced startup environment.

 🎯 What you will contribute:

• Have an understanding of the importance of user-centered design and design thinking, as well as understanding an initial level of information architecture, content strategy, usability, and accessibility
• Collaborate in the design and delivery of wireframes, user journeys, and mockups across web, app, and internal touchpoints using Grover's design system and industry good practices - that create intuitive, elegant, and shippable product experiences
• Support the connection between the customer needs and the product vision we are creating, through strong collaboration with the Product Manager, Engineering Manager, and team members
• Develop design concepts and prototypes and test them with users by running user interviews, user testing, and usability sessions
• Be a team player, self-motivated, and amazing at collaborating with other designers
• Participate in cross-functional design reviews with the larger design team

🤝 What you bring:

• 2+ years of experience designing products for consumer-focused product companies
• A strong understanding and focus on human-centered design, interaction design, visual design, and user experience
• Consistently consider the holistic user experience and potential states (errors, successes, dead-ends) in your work
• Ability to prototype your designs in tools like Figma, Sketch, Framer, or possibly even with real HTML, CSS, or JavaScript
• An initial understanding of engineering and technical concepts, including front-end development
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills, whether in one-on-one or group situations, including the ability to articulate the rationale for design decisions
