Product Design Trainee

👨‍🎤 As our Product Design Trainee, you will:

• Support product design initiatives from initial concept to final execution, ensuring all deliverables meet quality standards and timelines.
• Contribute to process improvements by helping implement and advocate for ongoing enhancements in design processes and developing strategies to elevate the quality and efficiency of design outputs.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers to maintain a cohesive and consistent design language across all products.
• Adhere to design systems by assisting in evolving and enforcing SafetyWing's design system, ensuring all design elements are aligned with established guidelines.
• Present design ideas by helping communicate and present product design concepts to cross-functional teams and senior leadership, fostering a collaborative and informed decision-making process.

• Has a passion for product design and a strong desire to learn and grow in the field.
• Holds a relevant degree and some practical experience or internship in product design.
• Has a portfolio showcasing design projects and practical experience.
• Is proficient in using design and prototyping tools such as Figma and committed to continuously learning new features.
• Can communicate design ideas clearly and champion design principles across diverse audiences, including design and non-design stakeholders.
• Is comfortable with ambiguity.
• Has a strong sense of empathy for both users and team members.
• Is interested in helping build a global social safety net.
• Thinks for themselves instead of copying others.
