Product Design Operations Manager

YOUR MISSION

As the Product Design Operations Manager, you will have the unique opportunity to build and maintain the strategy for how product design works, creates and delivers world-class work. With a focus on operating procedures, at scale, and project health - you will be the brain to the designer's arms. Additionally, you will manage the product design operations programs in support of the product design workflows and pillars. This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Design Operations.

In this role, you will:

• Work with the Product Design leadership team to standardize and enhance our design practices and tools to create an environment in which designers, researchers, and UX writers can thrive and deliver high-quality output
• Serve as liaison with Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, and other teams to ensure clear, regular two-way communication and collaboration and make sure interdependencies are understood and planned for
• Strategic effort in templatizing our process, methods, and systems - high-level process building and governance
• Be empowered to create solutions for the team to move faster and work more effectively, with experimentation, testing, and reporting at the core of the effort
• Focus on the operations infrastructure to ensure that the scaffolding of support for our team is optimized, being regularly revisited, and maintained - with a focus on setting and automating systems for ease of use by end users
• Think strategically about our biggest process problems and deliver solutions that work
• Develop metrics to regularly assess the health and effectiveness/efficiency of team processes and our tools
• Support a governance system to ensure both process adoption and adherence to standards, an ongoing process of assessment, and change management
• Own and update process-related documentation and ensure team members and leaders can quickly and easily find what they need
• Collaborate closely with your manager and teammates to grow the Design Ops function; constantly look for ways to improve our processes (and product) and make others successful.

The top candidate will have the following skills:

• 5+ years' experience in operations or as a UX program manager, product manager, producer or similar role 
• 1+ year of experience leading project delivery for large, cross functional projects 
• Strong analytical skills and ability to define lean and scalable workflows and process improvements 
• Exceptional organizational, time management, and prioritization skills 
• Experience with UX design and research disciplines, tools, and processes 
• Experience with Agile methodologies 
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills; ability to work successfully with teams across the organization 
• Ability to articulate design decisions and advocate for the user

In the state of Colorado, the salary for this role ranges from $88,900 to $120,300 + equity + benefits, but may vary based on your qualifications and job-related experience level, that could result in a level outside of this range.

In New York City, the salary for this role ranges from $111,200 to $150,400 + equity + benefits, but may vary based on your qualifications and job-related experience level, that could result in a level outside of this range.
