Your work-life opportunity:

Glovo is looking for a Product Design Manager to join it’s Courier team. You will be part of a constantly evolving UX team, where together with UX Research, UX Writing, Data, Product Development and Ops, all collaborating in one organization; you’ll be able to help shape the future our product, used by thousands of couriers across the globe, empowering them to deliver more efficiently and making Glovo a viable source of income.
As a Product Design Manager at Courier you will  be mentoring and leading a small group of Product Designers and together with the Head of UX, help drive and elevate the strategy of one of our core verticals. You will leverage your knowledge to connect the dots across projects, ensuring design excellence and cohesion in the work we produce. With other Product Design and UXR Managers you will anticipate and comfortably take on challenges, lead the creation of design initiatives to raise the value of UX across the org while contributing hands-on when needed. 

Be a part of a team where you will: 

  • Foster relationships cross-discipline (including Product Management, UXR, UX Writing, Data Science, Ops) and act as a consistent advocate for our end users in product discussions, reviews, and critiques, exerting influence towards positive outcomes.
  • Be part of the UX Leadership team reporting to the Head of UX, working alongside other Product Design and UXR Managers to ensure quality and cohesion of practices across projects and pods.
  • Lead projects or initiatives, help define the strategy, objectives and set the vision for the user experience of our product.
  • Manage stakeholders, business priorities and projects as well as help reports prioritise work ensuring the right balance of product and UX community focused initiatives. Identify gaps in capacity and resourcing, proactively raising headcount needs.
  • Provide mentorship and leadership to talented ICs to improve performance and career advancement. Understand the career development needs of each direct report, as well as the business needs of Glovo, and how to align both in an effective and engaging way.
  • Encourage and enable an ego-free collaborative environment, where all give and receive feedback regardless of role or level and where diverse viewpoints and working styles are welcome

You have

  • You have at least 7+ years of experience with end-to-end product design 
  • You are people-focused with practical experience managing and mentoring other designers, and demonstrated ability to help them navigate ambiguity.
  • You understand business goals and product metrics, think holistically and are able to balance short-term needs while keeping an eye on long-term strategic goals.
  • You have experience with quantitative and qualitative research methods and take an active role in together with UXR ensure Product makes data-informed and empathic decisions.
  • You have excellent spoken and written English, strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • You are a master of your craft with critical thinking, able to proactively jump in at any stage of the design process to help your team succeed.
  • You are enthusiastic and eager to continuously improve and learn. You have strong interpersonal skills and enjoy collaborative and dynamic environments.

    Must have:
  • A portfolio which demonstrates previous design experience, breadth and depth of design skills with case studies which illustrate challenges, methods, roles and outcomes.
  • Experience working in Product organizations in fast-paced environments.
