You’ll partner with a cross-functional team and stakeholders to co-own the vision and translate insights into actionable strategies.

You’ll spend significant time both on people development and directly contributing to design vision and delivery on critical projects. You’ll also join our Design leadership team, collaborating with fellow managers and craft leads to raise the bar for the entire organization.

What You’ll Do :

  • Lead a team - provide design guidance, day-to-day direction, and career development
  • Shape and execute the vision and design strategy for our core purchase experience, ensuring alignment with business objectives and user needs
  • Advocate for user-centricity, design quality, and measurable business impact with cross-functional partners (Product, Engineering, Data, etc.)
  • Drive team rituals and standards: facilitate collaboration, set operational excellence, and ensure quality in everything we ship
  • Collaborate with leadership on cross-team design initiatives that mature our design practice and elevate our culture
  • Model empathy, positivity, and proactivity: creating an environment where your team can do their best work, challenge the status quo, and grow into future leaders

What We’re looking for :

  • Experience managing and growing a distributed design team (ideally with 3+ direct reports)
  • Expertise in e-commerce or marketplace purchase experiences, with a track record of improving conversion rates and user satisfaction through design
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution, developing long-term design vision while looking at the details that matter
  • Excellent communication skills: able to inspire your team and influence senior stakeholders with clarity and empathy
  • Experience with purchase funnel optimization, A/B testing, and leveraging data to inform design decisions
  • Strong organizational skills: able to bring clarity, prioritize, and focus the team
  • Emotional intelligence: humble, caring, fun, and supportive
  • Professional fluency in English (our team is international)
  • Comfortable working with design tools (Figma, AI tooling, prototyping, etc.) while also developing team processes and strategic frameworks
