Product Design Manager, Core Product

We’re looking for a Product Design Manager to lead a team of designers to shape Asana’s core product. You’ll lead your team to make Asana a premier tool for coordination and collaboration for our largest customers by helping their teams capture, plan, and execute work together. With millions of teams using Asana across the globe, our work has only just begun to streamline how teams get work done in a more efficient, effective and delightful way.

What you’ll achieve

• Grow, mentor, and lead a talented team of product designers in our New York office
• Coach and mentor your team in delivering high-quality, delightful, and easy to use end-to-end experiences in order to shape a product that is intuitive and elegant
• Champion product excellence and elevate the quality bar for our experience
• Partner with cross-functional partners to establish the strategy, vision, metrics, and goals for this product Area to meet customer and business needs
• Work across the organization to connect the dots across teams and craft experiences that are cohesive with the broader Asana product experience
• Facilitate and role model human-centered problem solving

About you

• Relevant product design experience, with around 8+ years experience in product design and 3+ years in a people management role
• An inclusive people leader who can lead a team of experienced designers and inspire them to do their best work
• A strong portfolio that showcases a track record of shipping high-quality interaction and interface design work as a design leader
• Strong systems thinker, with experience designing for complex systems and drawing connections across features and teams
• Creative problem-solver who embraces divergent and iterative methods in order to help teams evolve concepts from raw ideas to polished customer experiences
• Open and curious, with a strong growth mindset

Our comprehensive compensation package plays a big part in how we recognize you for the impact you have on our path to achieving our mission. We believe that compensation should be reflective of the value you create relative to the market value of your role. To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit. 

For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $235,000 - $368,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.

In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits.
