Product Design Lead

We are looking for a talented and passionate Product Design Lead to join our growing Product Design team.

This lucky pioneer will lead our new Cluster Manager design, including User Research, User experience, and User Interface design. 

You will be in charge of all design aspects around a single cause (i.e a part of a product) as well as all design aspects in it, including the designers, the design process (and pace), our design framework (Double-Diamond), and maintaining collaborations with all relevant peers (such as  user research). As a hands-on manager, you will design initiatives and work with UXers, researchers, and other PDs on your team, but you will also manage people directly.

Therefore, we are looking for people with experience in design and people management. Our Redis Product Design team uses a unique approach, and we are constantly improving it. As your voice will have a significant impact, we would need individuals who have experience promoting UCD processes.

Responsibilities:

• Make sure your team is functioning effectively and efficiently, providing an amazing UX for every Redis user. 
• Collaborate with many stakeholders around Redis to promote UX for your product. 
• Be available to your team to ensure they are happy to come to work, and constantly growing professionally. 

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of total experience as a designer (Product, UX, UI).
• At least 2 years of people management in the UX or Design discipline in an Agile environment or have led a guild or a product/scrum successfully by him/herself.  
• Has an extensive background in designing B2B products. 
• Has an extended experience in at least 1 of the design specialties (UX, UI, UR) and excelled in leading design processes across products/scrums. 
• Proven record of promoting UCD and UR among product teams in a large organizations (SMB and up). 
• A people-person, likable, and brings happy vibes to the team. always engaging with friendly initiatives.

Advantages:

• Experience in designing products used by developers and Dev Ops.
• Has a background in, or strong understanding of, the software development process, infrastructures, languages, and tools. 
• A university degree in a relevant discipline: Design, Arts, Cognitive / Applied Psychology, Human Factor Engineering.
• Demonstrated experience with Quan & Qual UX research methodologies.
