Product Design Lead (f/m/d*)

The Product & Engineering team at Wunderflats is growing and we are now looking for a talented Product Design Lead (f/m/d*) to join us! We are looking for a creative and experienced product designer, who can lead a small team of talented designers and together understand and solve user problems.

This is a permanent role on a full-time basis, with an option for remote working (+/- 1h CEST).

YOUR MISSION

• Take on a leading role within the product team to help shape the product vision and user experience.
• You make sure that design projects and design debt are properly prioritised and you’ll become a strong advocate for design within the company.
• You will manage a team of product designers, guiding and mentoring them, helping them overcome challenges, and keeping them aware and aligned with the holistic, big picture.
• You will work independently on big topics but also oversee all design progress on all fronts and maintain the design board and backlog, as well as communicate progress to other departments. 
• You will enable and empower your team to achieve a fully maintained and up to date design system.
• You work independently on a complex set of features, collaborate with product management and engineering to arrive at optimal solutions, and coordinate across teams to create amazing experiences.

YOUR PROFILE

• You have 7+ years of experience as a UX & UI Designer with deep expertise in one and strong skills in the other.
• You have experience managing and mentoring a team of Designers.
• You know the common design tools and services (we mainly use Figma).
• You’re an excellent presenter and have good stakeholder management skills that will help you communicate the value of design across the whole company.
• You have exceptional standards for finding innovative design solutions, and you keep up with the latest trends.
• You possess a proven record of skills in agile software development methods, preferably SCRUM or KANBAN.
• Experience working on a marketplace product is a plus.
• Experience with prototyping, user research, no coding design tools, testing and mobile apps is a plus.
