Building a team starts with valuing the team. We hire the best of the best to ensure you’re working with people you can constantly learn from. You’re trusted to get your work done your way while testing the limits of what’s possible and what’s next. And you’ll be part of a culture where everyone feels supported.

We also value sports. Not just because of the big wins and highlight-worthy plays, but because of the lasting impact sports can have: the lifelong lessons in teamwork and dedication; the influence of inspiring mentors; the priceless opportunities to play at the next level. Sports can change lives—that’s what we value.

Our team helps the world see sports differently through products that make it easier to capture video, analyze data, share highlights and do a lot more.

Ready to join us?

We’re looking for a Product Design Intern to help guide design projects across the entire product lifecycle, from finding opportunities, to designing and validating solutions. You’ll work with a small, multidisciplinary team, partnering closely with engineering, product and business folks to find practical solutions that delight our users. You’ll take full ownership of your work—you’ll be responsible for every last detail, of course with support from your fellow product designers and manager. You’ll rapidly prototype and learn by making, including knowing when to apply low and high fidelity.

This position will be based in Lincoln, NE full-time for Summer 2023, with the potential to transition to a part-time, Fall 2023 internship

You Are

  • A current student. You’re pursuing a degree in visual, product or UI/UX design and have experience on mobile, web or connected devices.
  • Collaborative. You can respectfully provide blunt feedback and critique, while also receiving it from your team.
  • Experienced. This isn’t your first time interacting with design software, and you have a solid process that puts the user front and center.
  • Responsible. Stakeholders and other multidisciplinary teams are necessary to define requirements, and you understand how to keep them involved in the process.
  • Communicative. You leverage your written and verbal communication to set up frameworks and brainstorm initial design concepts.
  • Eager to learn. You’re constantly looking to hone your design skills through user feedback, hands-on user research or by designing options for an A/B test.

You Will

  • Discover. You’ll learn about research methods and artifacts (e.g., interviewing, JTBD, PURE, service blueprints, usability testing) and serve as a research assistant that’s involved in everything from planning, doing and analyzing for projects/experiments.
  • Observe and participate in user interviews. You’ll follow the example of other designers and learn how to prepare for interviews and when they’re necessary.
  • Test. You’ll attend on-site field tests with users or team members to understand how designs will be affected by real time conditions. You’ll conduct a usability test (5+ users), learning when to do moderated and unmoderated tests, and report on what you find in your squad’s sprint review.
  • Get comfortable in Figma. You’ll create prototypes and iterate based on internal and external feedback, gaining the ability to explain and defend your design choices. You’ll quickly understand when to go low fidelity vs. high fidelity.
  • Work with Uniform. You’ll contribute to our design system and learn more about component development in the process.
  • Gain experience. You’ll meet with someone from each major function (design, PM, SM, developer and QA) one-on-one to learn about their experience in their fields. You’ll also participate in design critiques as both presenter and reviewer, and take part in standups, sprint planning and refinements for your squad

We will

  • Guarantee autonomy. We have an open, honest culture and we trust our people from day one. Your team will support you, but you’ll own your work and have the agency to try new ideas.
  • Encourage career growth. We’re lifelong learners who encourage professional development. We’ll give you tons of resources and opportunities to keep growing.
  • Provide an environment to help you succeed. We've invested in our offices, designing incredible spaces with our employees in mind. But whether you’re at the office or working remotely, we’ll provide you the tech stack and hardware to do your best work.
