We're looking for a skilled Product Design Engineer with experience shipping beloved consumer products to join our devices team. You'll have the opportunity to lead and drive future products in close collaboration with our partners. You'll also work cross-functionally with our products designers, hardware engineers, software engineers, data scientists, and more.
This role will report into the VP of Devices.
What you’ll be doing
- Own hardware design problems end to end, from initial concept through shipping and beyond
- Work with an international team of engineers and product designers to bring new product ideas to market
- Model, build, evaluate, and refine prototypes and production test systems
- Set the standard for mechanical engineering best practices on the team
- Drive and facilitate technical reviews and design conversations
What we’re looking for
- Our ideal candidate has strong fundamentals in mechanical engineering with experience designing consumer products
- Mechanical Engineer with 4+ years of relevant experience
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Expertise in part/assembly design and 3D modeling
- Hands-on problem solver. Experience in model construction and prototyping
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional team members
- Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines
