About the Role

This role is  an opportunity to play a crucial role in the shaping of Glassdoor’s product and design team. We are looking for a product leader with passion for product craft and deep understanding of standard methodologies. Your role will be focused on understanding our product department culture, identifying areas for improvement, and articulating a strategy for continuous improvement. You will help improve our planning, discovery and development process, user voice programs, and collective learning programs within our department. 

What You'll Do:

We are looking for a product enthusiast to lead Operational Excellence within the Product & Design Department here at Glassdoor. Key components of the role include: 

Product & Design Excellence

  • Vision: Articulate and operationalize the department mission, principles, and goals
  • Strategy: Empathize with product & design specific challenges and work to create and implement a plan for continuous improvement
  • Communication: Ensure clear and eloquent product voice across the company by supporting and improving  internal communication 

Planning & Program Management

  • Process: Champion our OKR process to ensure an effective planning, roadmap, review, and retrospective process across our department and with key collaborators. 
  • Tooling: Be responsible for the access, approval and contract management for product & design specific tools and ensure proper team training 
  • Cross-Functional: Drive product & design related programs that are cut across our product, design, and engineering teams but also business operations, GTM, and marketing as well. 

Culture Enhancing

  • Learning: Develop internal learning programs and stay on top of market trends to help teams gain and improve skills
  • Culture: Be a culture carrier. You help own the way for making Glassdoor an outstanding place to work. 
  • Hiring Practices: Improve consistency in our hiring & onboarding processes
  • Team Building: Help organize and support offsites and team building activities for a hybrid and distributed team.

What You'll Bring:

  • A commitment to add  to our culture of DEI
  • 5 Years Experience in program management and product management or operations
  • Large scale enterprise software and agile environment is a plus
  • Execution: Ability to handle multiple sophisticated initiatives and programs simultaneously in a cross-functional environment across multiple regions.
  • Product craft: You have worked in the product management function. You’re well-versed in product standard methodologies and have helped individual PMs up-level their own product competence. 
  • Curious Mentality: You are obsessed with your user, in this case, the product & design team members. You are always curious about how to bring people and process together in a harmonious way. You ask the right questions with an open mind. 
  • Collaboration and influence: This is a visible role with frequent touch points with Product & Design leadership and a broad set of partners. You are able to influence across all levels and organizations at Glassdoor.
  • Communication: You can communicate effectively in day-to-day work in addition to broad scale and with product leaders.
  • Metrics driven: You are comfortable in an outcome driven environment and find ways to measure and track progress in a more ambiguous space.

  • Organized & Iterative: You are exceptionally organized. You develop clear plans, handle dependencies, and run trade offs with ease. Your iterative nature allows you to craft a reasonable plan to build towards the team vision.
  • Independent Agility: You are comfortable with ambiguity. You are able to craft plans,  set direction, and drive alignment.

Compensation and Benefits:

Base Salary Range*:  $171,800 - $257,700

*Glassdoor base salaries are targeted to the market 75th percentile for technical roles and the 65th percentile for non-technical roles. In other words, 65-75% of comparable organizations in our industry will pay less.

Annual Bonus Target**: 10%

Bonuses are paid in 6-month intervals, aligning with bi-annual performance reviews
