THE ROLE:
A passionate, innovative Principal/Director Product Manager with technical and functional experience in building data warehouses, business intelligence applications and data marts.  As a Principal/Director Product Manager at FEVO, you will be at the forefront of our product strategy and development efforts, working with a talented team of product managers, designers, and engineers to create groundbreaking solutions that will transform our industry. Captain’s hat may be provided upon request.

Our ideal Principal/Director Product Manager will have a natural curiosity about data needs, a love of learning, a desire to build a leading-edge data platform and an idea of how that should be built. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our data product strategy.You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define, develop, and deliver data-driven solutions that drive business growth and customer satisfaction.

This role involves a deep understanding of data technologies, market trends, and a strategic vision for the future of data products.We're looking for someone who is confident in their abilities, maintains a curious and creative mindset and brings a “never finished, always improving” approach to our product.While fear of failure is a natural human condition and thus totally understandable, we ask that applicants lock said fear in a box and throw it from a bridge, as we believe failure often illuminates the path to new and interesting solutions.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • 5-8 years of prior experience in product management, with a track record of successfully developing and launching data reporting products.
  • 5+ years experience in managing projects and programs across cross-functional and technical teams, ideally in the development of business intelligence and reporting platforms.
  • A strong background in developing data platforms and solutions. 
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of user behavior and reporting challenges.
  • The ability to understand customer needs and gather essential business requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in the design, development, and scaling of third-party integrations is mandatory.
  • Strategic thinking and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, complemented by strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation abilities, adaptable for both day-to-day interactions with colleagues across the organization and client-facing engagements.
  • A passion to build strong relationships with stakeholders, industry experts, and partners to lead, define, represent, and communicate product strategy.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Data Product Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive data product strategy aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies related to data products.
  • Product Roadmap: Define and communicate a clear product roadmap, prioritizing features and enhancements based on market needs and business goals.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, data science, design, and other teams to deliver high-quality data products on time.
  • Data Monetization: Identify and execute strategies for data monetization, working with sales and marketing teams to create revenue streams.
  • Data Governance: Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with relevant regulations in all data product offerings.
  • User-Centric Approach: Champion the user experience and work to ensure that data products are user-friendly and meet customer needs.
  • Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of data products. Some key KPIs include:
  • Customer Engagement: Measure user adoption, retention rates, and customer satisfaction scores.
  • Data Monetization: Track revenue generated from data products and related services.
  • Data Quality: Monitor data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Product Adoption: Assess the adoption rate of new data products and features.
