Want to be part of a fast-growing product-focused team that is focused on building the next generation of products to transform IT and Dev work in every enterprise on the planet? If yes, then read on.
Software is eating the world, and organizations in every industry on the planet are undertaking digital transformation. No team knows the impact of digital transformation initiatives more than enterprise IT … and Atlassian has taken a major strategic bet in helping enterprise IT teams transform. Atlassian's products are used by more than 200,000 organizations including a large swath of the Fortune 500 to help enterprises get their job done faster and make their customers happy. Atlassian’s IT Solutions focus on crafting a unified and modern IT solutions portfolio spanning IT service management (ITSM), operations management (ITOPs/ITOM), business management (ITBM), enterprise service management (ESM), SmartOps, and more.
Jira Service Management (JSM) is Atlassian’s IT Solutions product. It is also our fastest-growing product that empowers Dev, IT, and business teams to collaborate at high velocity, so they can respond to changes faster and make enterprises succeed in digital transformation.
As a Principal Product Manager on JSM’s ITOps team, you’ll be a senior leader working across a broad portfolio of ITOps features and capabilities. Whether it's incident management, change management, or problem management, you’ll be focused on deeply understanding the challenges of enterprise IT teams in digital transformation and working across the IT Solutions and Agile & DevOps teams to build solutions. You will be JSM’s subject matter expert on ITOps practices.
This role requires building a deep understanding of ITOps and ITSM requirements for cloud software, the ability to ruthlessly prioritize them, and the technical know-how to partner closely with engineering to execute on the roadmap you define. You will be responsible for ensuring our ITOps solutions are loved by customers.

In this role, you will:

  • Expand our ITOps capabilities in JSM
  • Deeply understand our customers' requirements for digital transformation and building a roadmap to address their needs
  • Work with our marketing and sales team to take the features you build to market
  • Identify new business opportunities for Atlassian
  • Be a subject matter expert within Atlassian on various ITOps and ITSM practices.
  • Impact millions of users and thousands of companies for decades to come.

On your first day, we'll expect you to have:

  • 10+ years of PM experience building enterprise software products and/or tech services and/or platforms
  • Have a deep understanding of cloud tech, IT, and Dev environments
  • Subject matter expertise in one or more ITOps capabilities and ITSM practices
  • Experience developing a high-level product strategy and roadmap that can span multiple years, communicating it to executive leadership, and rallying a cross-functional team behind it
  • Have worked in large scale highly collaborative companies across timezones
  • True obsession for your customers – you go out of your way to talk to customers and solve their problems because it’s what gets you out of bed in the morning
  • A passion for wading into the gnarly day-to-day decisions to help your engineering team get features shipped
  • A track record of building relationships and influencing without authority at all levels of the organization.

It’s great, but not required if you have:

  • Experience leading a team of product managers
  • Strong understanding of enterprise IT org structures, buying/refresh/adoption cycles
  • Computer Science or technical degree or a few years in engineer roles in the past
