About the job
Scaleway is investing heavily in AI infrastructure in 2023 to support the development of the European AI ecosystems across data management, Large Language Model training, and applications. Given this new area of development for the company, Scaleway is searching for a Principal PM for AI as a Service, to develop our strategy and our positioning across the AI ecosystem and value chain.
With this new area come new challenges of product development, partnerships, and communication to drive an ecosystem of AI clients for Scaleway. The ideal candidate will have both existing knowledge of the data science value chain, and the ability to articulate a brand new product positioning and the product vision for the category.
Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, you will be responsible for developing an AI strategy and delivering it in collaboration with IaaS and PaaS Lead PMs.

Study the existing AI value chain and position Scaleway’s potential offering within it
Define the ecosystem of products necessary to support our clients' AI needs and articulate a strategy that supports it.
Identify necessary data and AI products underpinning data science capabilities, and work with the Lead PMs on the development of a strategy that relies on the enhancement of existing Scaleway products, as well as on the development of new ones.
Clarify the Make or Buy strategy for each item in the product ecosystem
Articulate a product vision with the team to guide your product perimeter & product developments
Ability to be an ambassador for AI innovation internally and externally
Drive AI thinking across the rest of the Product team
Lead by example, values servant leadership
Build a roadmap of AI products with a prioritization of the MVP (Minimum Viable Product) and future iterations over time
Interact with Scaleway’s Engineering team to identify quick wins and evaluate the level of effort for the various items on the roadmap
Build business plans for new products and partnerships
Minimum qualifications:
- Proven experience in articulating product strategy and positioning
- More than 8 years of experience in Product Management (Discovery, Delivery, clients Interviews, crafting a product strategy, and implementing it)
- Experience in the data space and in data science processes from a Product standpoint
- Tenacity and proactivity to carry the AI strategy forward in a constantly changing environment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent command of English
Preferred qualifications:
- Strong Knowledge of Cloud ecosystems or interested in learning more
- Working knowledge of French

Based in our offices in Paris or in Lille, partially remote possible
