We’re looking for a Principal Product Designer to lead research and design on a 0-1 project, while leveraging the strengths of our existing best-in-class Remix Planning and Scheduling products. You will drive the product experience from inception through execution, collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and other cross-functional team members to shape a solution that helps transit agencies deliver reliable and efficient service to their communities. We succeed when the city officials we work with use Via to have a greater impact for the public good.
What You'll Do:
- Influence the shape of the product with research and data while executing design work using high quality wireframes, mockups, user journeys, and cross-platform interactive prototypes.
- Partner with product, engineering, and go-to-market teams to define goals and process.
- Create artifacts that help us shape our vision and roadmap.
- Facilitate design thinking sessions with your team.
- Advocate for design by sharing your work and presenting cross-functionally, while being able to precisely articulate design rationale.
Who You Are:
- Minimum of 7 years as a product designer, designing a SaaS, enterprise or B2B product.
- Skilled at using design to capture ideas, inspire a vision, or ground a conversation.
- Have a track record of running research to understand users and advocate for their needs.
- Love taking complex ideas and making them easy to understand.
- Bring a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset to getting things done.
- While it’s not required, it’s an added plus if you have experience designing for technical enterprise software.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Final salary will be determined by the candidate’s experience, knowledge, and skills. Salary reflected does not include equity or variable pay, where applicable
- Salary Range: $175,000-$205,000
