About the Design team

The whole design team works across most things at Checkout.com From brand identity, events and performance marketing to physical brand experiences, to holistic product experiences on web and mobile, with great technical documentation.

We’re a fully complementary team of researchers, writers, designers and operations, where some are embedded into small project teams and others work across multiple projects.

About the Brand Design team

The Brand Design team sits within the design team, and is an integral stakeholder, driving creative direction and safeguarding our brand visual identity for Checkout.com. We explore, create and design best-in-class brand experiences that help promote our products and services, along with elevating design-thinking across the business.

We work from the beginning to the end of the creative process, we deliver customer focussed designed experiences that drive brand awareness, engagement and excitement with our audiences – whoever they may be.

We’re a community of creatives spanning across motion animation, events and physical experiences, presentation specialists and much much more.

Brand Designers at Checkout

Brand designers at Checkout constantly push for better, not just different. We create, test and develop systems and processes that enable us to create work of the highest quality, constantly evolving and pushing our brand. Our designers excel at succinctly describing design choices that are precise, obvious and elegant, making our brand as iconic as possible.

Principal Brand Designer is an expert in the following:

  • Inspire everyone around you in creating a culture of excellence, and thrive on teaching, coaching and mentoring designers
  • Oversee the work of external and internal partners to ensure everything meets our standards and is of course on brand
  • Master level in understanding, translating and articulating brand strategy, turning it into world leading brand communications and experiences
  • Master in writing, questioning and managing briefs, working in collaboration with stakeholders and the team to fully understand the needs and requirements of the brief and how they impact the business.
  • High ability to focus on understanding and disseminating the intricacies of entire businesses or systems. Deeply knowledgeable of both highly complex user requirements and highly technical solutions.
  • You’re able to quickly and creatively visualise intangible and abstract business processes, turning these into compelling creative solutions
  • A master of your craft and are hands on, constantly pushing your work until all details are resolved elegantly
  • A true guardian of our brand, with a great understanding of brand and branding and how we utilise these across various channels and communications – with an expert understanding in how customers interact with our brand, how brands our brand needs to flex and how to develop and constantly challenge our brand.
  • A master in presenting your work, the process, and decisions to cross-functional stakeholders and you’re proactive in getting constructive feedback to help you produce your best work
  • Amazing track record of creating iconic creative work, yet you don’t rest on your laurels and feel your best work is still to come
  • You're passionate about Checkout’s vision and purpose

You might be working on:

  • Leading and enabling end to end go creative across the business, specifically intended to precisely communicate what we have to offer and how it meets audiences needs. Learning and understanding each audience and their needs.
  • Collaborating with the full Design team on our visual alignment and systems, ensuring we build libraries, develop new solutions and maintain our standards across brand and design.
  • Overseeing and identifying opportunities across Brand Design and beyond, creating amazing experiences that are highly personalised for our strategic needs, and providing creative solutions that set new benchmarks for our brand.
  • Leading and supporting on defining a new visual era for our brand and visual identity system, working cross functionally to enhance, educate and empower the visual expression of our brand. Ensuring it remains consistent across all channels.
