Payments Product Manager

We are Belvo, an open finance API platform with the bold vision of democratizing access to financial services in Latin America. We enable any financial innovator to access and interpret financial data – as well as initiate payments from their end-users accounts. We’re turning the messy complexities of the Latin American financial ecosystem into a modern set of tools to access and interpret data and move money in a seamless and secure way.

We’re a highly technical, passionate, and driven team. We are more than 130 people, our team currently represents 26 nationalities and we have offices in São Paulo, Mexico City, and Barcelona – while a large portion of us works remotely.

For us, there's no difference as long as you have an excellent internet connection and are able to overlap with the team from 4pm on, CEST timezone.

• Product Strategy: Developing and executing a comprehensive Pix payments product strategy that aligns with the company's goals and aims.

• Customer and Market Research: Conducting research to identify opportunities and staying up-to-date with the evolving Pix payments landscape in Brazil. You'll translate these insights into actionable product requirements.

• Product Development: Guiding the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from concept to launch, including defining product features, functionality, and user experience.

• Cross-functional Teamwork: Working closely with engineering, design, marketing, operations, and sales teams to ensure successful product development and launch.

• Regulatory Compliance: Coordinating closely with our compliance team to ensure that the Pix payments product complies with all relevant regulations and standards.

This position may be for you if:

• You have 3+ years of experience in product management, with a strong background in payments or fintech.

• You possess deep knowledge of the Brazilian market, especially in relation to Pix payments.

• You are passionate about delivering tech products and well-designed API-based platforms.

• You can communicate effectively with technical teams and easily translate market needs into product requirements.

• Product sense: You are thoughtful and creative. You can address ambiguous problems and turn them into great products.

• Product execution: You use data to build products and measure progress.

• You have strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Amazing if:

• You have worked in an established payments or fintech company.

• You have knowledge about the features in the Pix roadmap published by the Central Bank of Brazil.

• You are familiar with agile development methodologies.

• You have experience with API development and design.

• You have experience with mobile app development and design.

Our tech stack:

• We’re building our platform using modern technologies, putting the focus on reliability and long-term maintainability

• We primarily use Python on the backend. We use battle-tested technologies such as Django, and we are heavy users of Python’s asyncio for some parts of our stack

• We use Javascript, Vue.js and Sass on the frontend. We are developing and leveraging our own design system and component library

• We run our infrastructure on top of Amazon Web Services, leveraging managed services. We tend to favor the use of managed services wherever possible, in order to focus on our business problems

• We observe and monitor our services using Datadog

• We follow Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery best practices
