On a mission to make pet care more accessible, Fuzzy is a subscription-based service offering members 24/7 Live Vet Chat support, virtual vet consultations, and on-demand answers from a team of licensed, on-staff pet health experts. Fuzzy also offers pet parents vet-tested and recommended products and personalized programs for nutrition, training, and obedience.
Through technology, we're creating a different type of relationship between pet parents and their veterinary caregivers – one that's personal, empowering, and focused on improving the lives of animals.
The Role
We’re a small and fast team. You’ll work with a passionate group of designers, product managers, engineers, and data scientists to build products that help pet parents extend the lives of their beloved pets. This is our first User Research hire in the product and design organization, and the role will report directly to the Chief Product Officer.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic research to identify novel product opportunities and conduct independent research on multiple aspects of products and experiences
- Collect and analyze user behavior through diary studies, field visits, surveys, benchmark studies, server logs and online experiments (A/B testing)
- Work with Designers, Product Managers, Engineers to prioritize research opportunities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- Understand and incorporate complex technical and business requirements into research.
- Advocate research findings to diverse audiences through written reports and in-person presentations
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of research experience utilizing various design methods (i.e. usability studies, contextual inquiry, surveys, etc.)
- Familiarity with both quantitative and qualitative research methods
- Self-directed and motivated. Able to organize and prioritize work independently with feedback and guidance.
- Ability to match research process and speed to the impact and urgency of the need to ensure applicability
- Ability to tease out true needs from articulated desires effectively
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; the ability to influence key stakeholders using research at various levels of the organization.
