About The Team

The Trails team helps our millions of users across the globe narrow in on that next perfect adventure. Our most visited product pages as well as multiple key subscription features live within this team’s purview, giving them the unique ability to meaningfully drive many of the company's most crucial KPIs. If you are a seasoned product lead with a deep passion for maps, APIs, data visualizations, and are legitimately psyched about the challenge of mapping the world's trails, then we want to talk to you.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Leading the Trails team in developing and driving a short and long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap that ladders up to company OKR’s
  • Leading the team through the Product Development Lifecycle, including the discovery, planning, design, development, and launch and learn phases
  • Evangelizing the needs of our customers, leveraging quantitative and qualitative data to share key insights that inform product direction
  • Communicating tradeoffs and align cross functional partners and business stakeholders on priorities to help meet business goals
  • Communicating progress against objectives and key results, making recommendations to pivot or change course as needed
  • Collaborating closely with other Product Manager’s within the Product team to ensure open communication and alignment to the broader organization

Requirements:

  • You have 7+ years of product management experience and have successfully shipped high impact products that drive meaningful growth for the business
  • You have an innate urge to leverage quantitative and qualitative data to guide your strategy and create a compelling narrative 
  • You care deeply about users and seek to understand their problems, needs, and desires
  • You thrive on collaboration and you know how to rally and align your team
  • Your communication skills are on point and you feel comfortable regularly presenting to execs, keeping peers and stakeholders informed, and jumping into Slack threads as needed
  • You are a resourceful self-starter with a bias toward action
  • You feel comfortable digging into an unknown problem space to understand better and craft an execution plan
  • You have managed 2-3 Product Managers and know how to land actionable feedback that helps PM’s grow professionally
  • You bring humility, empathy, and a desire to learn

  • Familiarity with AllTrails and/or fitness apps to connect and track activities

The estimated base compensation pay range for this role is $160,000 - $190,000 annually. The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on various factors such as skills, experience, training and credentials, as well as other business purposes or needs.  It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range of their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the factors and circumstances of each case.
