About Quizlet:

Inspired by our belief that anyone can learn anything and powered by our own curiosity, we build the smartest tools we can imagine to help students learn.

Quizlet is the popular, global learning platform and app that millions of students, teachers and everyday people use to study any subject imaginable for school, work or as part of their personal interests -- including two-thirds of high school students and half of all college students in the US. Combining cognitive science and machine learning, Quizlet guides students through adaptive study activities to confidently reach their learning goals. We’re on track to become the undisputed leader in user-generated learning content and engagement, at the scale of YouTube.

Valued at $1 billion, Quizlet has raised over $60 million in venture capital from investors including Icon Ventures, Union Square Ventures, General Atlantic, Costanoa Ventures, Owl Ventures, and Altos Ventures.

To serve our global community of learners, our teams tackle lofty technical challenges and design for use cases across cultures and languages. We work hard, act like owners, and collaborate every chance we get. We’re energized by the potential to power more learners through multiple approaches and various tools.

About the Team:

The Core Product team at Quizlet is dedicated to simplifying the learning process for students by creating top-tier study tools. Leveraging data science-driven recommendations and a deeply integrated, course-centric product structure, our goal is to ensure students are studying the most relevant material in the most effective way.

We are seeking a Lead Product Manager who will drive the product vision and strategy for our core study modes. • Drive Product Vision: Develop and articulate a bold product strategy that ensures Quizlet leverages the latest advancements to support new use cases and serve our students effectively.
  • Conduct User Research: Partner with user research and design teams to conduct user interviews, synthesize insights, and inform the product roadmap.
  • Problem-Solving and Prioritization: Break down large, ambiguous problem spaces, prioritize them, and focus the team on key hypotheses.
  • Feature Development: Work closely with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, prioritize features, and deliver high-quality, impactful study-enhancing features.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with marketing and subscription teams to ensure features reach the right users at the optimal time in their learning journey.
  • Be a Thought Leader: Advocate for the role of user-centric design and UX in the overall Quizlet product roadmap.

What you bring to the table:

  • Experience: 8+ years of product management experience with a focus on user experience, consumer products and data-science baked products
  • User-Centric Approach: Proven track record of building and testing delightful user experiences and delivering quantifiable results.
  • Comprehensive Involvement: Enthusiasm for being involved in every step of the product development process, from understanding user needs to analyzing metrics and building roadmaps.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment with imperfect information and limited resources.
