As part of this mission, we want to help members protect their loved ones and their valuables through affordable access to insurance.  Today, insurance is a top concern for our members and the second biggest monthly expense after rent -- and most are either overpaying or have inadequate coverage. 

We are looking for a Lead Product Manager who will help build Chime’s Insurance offerings from the ground up. In this role, you will work with our leadership teams to shape Chime’s strategy in the space. You will lead the execution of that strategy by partnering cross-functionally to help our members increase their coverage and save money in a complex regulatory environment. In doing so, you will also work closely with the various current and prospective Chime partners across the insurance ecosystem. 

For Colorado based roles: In accordance with applicable law, this role has an annual starting salary of $176,000 plus bonus, a competitive equity package, and benefits (see below). The actual pay may be higher depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience. 

In this role, you can expect to

  • Lead the ideation, technical development, and launch of highly differentiated products and features in the Insurance space
  • Establish shared vision across the company by building consensus on priorities
  • Partner with research, marketing, risk, compliance, finance, engineering, design, QA, and analytics teams to build software collaboratively and inclusively
  • Work collaboratively with Chime’s partners and vendors in the space
  • Drive decision-making through customer insights, quantitative analysis, and experimentation 
  • Iterate rapidly using product analytics data and research findings
  • Be proud of the work you are doing and the impact it is having 

To thrive in this role, you have

  • 5+ years of experience as a product manager
  • Prior experience in Insurance, “Insuretech”, or a close adjacency
  • An owner’s mindset - you don’t shy away from the hard stuff
  • Empathy for users and a drive to discover and resolve their pain points  
  • Strong analytical skills, competence in SQL, and experience with tools for doing data analysis
  • Scrappiness, can-do attitude, and the confidence to just get stuff done
